Athletic Shoulder Level 1

This Athletic Shoulder Level 1 Online Course provides you with an opportunity to creatively challenge the way you think about solving shoulder problems for those with high shoulder demands. We cover the necessary rationale behind an outcome driven approach, and how that can be implemented through testing and tracking, management of common shoulder injuries, exercise prescription and athletic preparation.

It is designed for coaches, trainers, physical therapists, and other health professionals who currently support or aspire to work with athletes of all levels of participation. Topics covered include:

• functional anatomy;
• assessment techniques;
• strength and conditioning exercises;
• rehabilitation protocols and return-to-play strategies.

Participants will gain a better understanding of how to assess an athlete’s risk factors for injury as well as develop individualized treatment plans that optimize performance while minimizing future injury risk.

The course content is immediately applicable, evidence-based and user friendly. Upon completion of the course, participants will have had the opportunity to develop skills necessary to develop comprehensive shoulder injury prevention and management programs for their athletes.

The course provides over 10 hours of educational material including six modules, videos, case studies and learning tools and resources. Participants will be able to work through the modules at their own pace and will be encouraged to connect with the Athletic Shoulder community.
